Howard Stern Says “I Do” One More Time

The classy Le Cirque restaurant in downtown Manhattan was the setting for the marriage of the bad boy of radio, Howard Stern, 54 and the very beautiful Beth Ostrosky, his 36 year old longtime girlfriend and model. Friday, October 3, 2008, the happy couple said “I do” in front of 180 guests. The ceremony was surprisingly traditional considering Howard’s history of the bizarre.

Beth was breathtaking in a white chiffon gown and matching shawl designed by Georgina Chapman, while Howard was dressed in a black suit. She carried a bouquet of purple calla lilies. The ceremony was performed by none other than Mark Consuelos, actor and husband to Kelly Ripa. It seems that Mark is also an ordained minister.

Guests attending this special day were Kelly Ripa, John Stamos, Donald Trump, Barbara Walters, Joan Rivers, Jimmy Kimmel, Sarah Silverman, Adam Corolla, and Howard’s long time co-hosts, Artie Lang and Robin Quivers. Billy Joel sang “The Stranger” and Phoebe Snow contributed her rendition of “You Send Me.” Dixie Chick Natalie Maines sang a song especially written for the wedding. Chevy Chase is said to have made a rather X-rated toast at the reception.

The marriage comes after a February 2007 Valentine’s Day proposal from Howard to Beth along with presenting her with a 5.2 carat diamond engagement ring. Howard was previously married for 23 years to Alison Berns, and had said he would never get married again. He explained his change of heart on The Late Show with David Letterman earlier this year by saying, “I’m a hypocritical liar, as you know. Things change, love happens, love blossoms.” This is the first marriage for Beth.

After being together for 8 years, it seems that Beth really does love her quirky man. She was an appropriately happy bride. She told Us Magazine that “The night was perfect. Mark Consuelos was the greatest rev on the face of the earth. Donald Trump told Howard that he believes the marriage will last forever.”

Beth is a vegetarian, eating fish, but not shellfish or meat. She wanted the menu for the reception to be animal friendly and had some very specific ideas about what would be on the menu. Guests were treated to a dinner reception consisting of tuna Tataki, scrambled eggs with white truffles, and tortelloni with Taleggio cheese, a pasta dish from northern Italy. Striped bass with caviar was served as the main course, along with 200 -300 bottles of wine and champagne.

Howard had always said he would never marry Beth because he was afraid of messing up what they had. However, it seems that he felt secure enough to take the plunge after so many years together. He and his former wife, Alison, have 3 daughters, who were present at the ceremony. Beth has no children.

Howard and Beth asked guests to send donations to the Wildlife Rescue Center of The Hamptons rather than giving them wedding gifts. According to a spokesman, this gesture resulted in thousands of dollars being sent to the center.

Will this couple live happily ever after? Earlier this summer, Beth told Us Magazine that “Howard is my dream come true, everything I’ve always wanted in a man. It’s all in one 6’5 beautiful hunk of love.”
Howard stated “What we have is true love.”

The happy couple left the following morning to honeymoon in the Hamptons.
