How much does a Flash Wedding Website with WedMeDo.com cost?
We charge just $59 for a 1 year wedding website package. This includes the .com domain name, one year's hosting, free technical support and 24/7 access to your design studio to make design changes 365 days a year. We offer renewals for a further year for just $49.
What happens once I pay for my wedding website?
We will update your wedding website status to "paid". This usually takes approximately 24hrs. You will receive a mail requesting you send us your top 2 .com domain name choices. Please do so at your earliest convenience so that we can secure your domain name. Please also ensure that mails from WedMeDo.com are not being caught by your junk mail filters. Please note, it usually takes up to 48hrs for your domain name to work with your wedding website.
Can I have my wedding website on a CD or DVD when my subscription period is over?
Our Flash wedding websites interact with a database which holds all your website content. The use of a database ensures that your wedding website loads quickly and efficiently and also safeguards your data. Unfortunately this is not compatible with offering wedding websites on CD or DVD and we don't offer this service.
We do however offer an alternative to ensure your wedding website can stay online indefinately* at no additional cost to you. We can archive your site indefinately* for free under the following circumstances:
- we would require a testimonial from you on our wedding website services
- we would have a link from your testimonial to your wedding website
- no ongoing access to the design Studio i.e. cannot make changes
- guestbook, RSVP etc disabled
- your web address would be something like http://www.wedmedo.com/sites/brideandgroom/
* we reserve the right to take the site down in the future for technical, capacity or other reasons
Alternatively you can renew your wedding website for another year, including your domain name for $49;
or lastly, if you'd prefer not to write a testamonial, you could archive your site for $20 per annum under the following circumstances:
- no ongoing access to the design Studio i.e. cannot make changes
- guestbook, RSVP etc disabled
- your web address would be something like http://www.wedmedo.com/sites/brideandgroom/
How much notice should I give you if I would like to renew my wedding website for another year?
The domain name for your wedding website is purchased for exactly 1 year. When it expires it goes into a lengthy redemption period. During this redemption period we can still redeem your domain name but it is very costly to do so - approx $50. This is a charge levied on us. Additionally, to submit a redemption is very time-consuming for us and we don't charge for this. For this reason we require a minimum of 2-weeks advance notice if you would like to renew your wedding website. But don't worry - we will send you a reminder 4 weeks before your wedding website is due to expire.
I have my own domain name I would like to use. Can I do this?
Yes you can. Simply change the name servers for your domain name to point to our name servers and let us know the domain name you would like to use. Our name servers are: ns0.ukfast.net ns1.ukfast.net
We will set everything up on our side pending the repointing of your domain name to our name servers. Most domain name vendors offer the facility to repoint your domain name to a different name server - you retain full control of your domain name and can switch the name servers back to your name servers whenever you like.
Please note that we don't permit masked domain forwarding. You may use a permanent redirect, but the web address for your wedding website in the address bar will be the permanent redirect address and not your .com web address (even if the user typed it in to get to your wedding website). For this reason we recommend the name server approach described above.
Do you offer any customizations other than those available through the Design Studio?
We try and accommodate all our customers' requests and do minor (less than 15 mins) customizations for free. As our wedding website package is very competitively priced, we make a small charge for any manual customization that takes longer than 15mins to do. This would always be agreed with you prior to doing the customization.
I have paid for my wedding website but it's status is still showing "Trial" or "Expired".
We are still processing your order - please give us 24hrs to update the status of your wedding website. If for some reason the status has not been updated after 24hrs, please drop us a mail.
I have sent you our preferred .com wedding website addresses. Our domain name is still showing "Not purchased".
We are still processing your domain names - please give us 24hrs from receipt of your domain name choices to update your records. If for some reason the status has not been updated after 24hrs, please drop us a mail.
Wedding Website Design Tips
Is there any way I can improve my photo quality?
There are 3 ways you can resize photos when uploading them to the Design Studio to ensure best photo quality.
The easiest way to do this is to upload any size and dimension of photo and let our Design Studio auto-crop the photo for you. This approach should be used only if you have standard size photos taken by an SLR camera or digital camera (which capture images in standard sizes).
Another way to resize photos is to un-check the autocrop box in the upload panel of the Design Studio and manually crop the photo using our zoom/cropping tool. This tool prompts you to choose the area of the photo that you want to keep before saving the uploaded photo to your wedding website (if the auto-crop box is un-checked). This gives good results.
The BEST way to resize photos is without doubt to do it yourself before you upload them, using a good graphics package like PhotoShop or photo editor. The photo sizes to fit our contemporary wedding website template are:

What music file types can I upload to my wedding website and is it possible to use music off a music CD I own?
Our Design Studio accepts mp3 music files - these is the most commonly used format on the web. Please note that protected content downloaded from iTunes will not work in our wedding websites. You can upload up to 3 songs.
It is possible to "rip" music from music CDS's in the mp3 format. You can use iTunes to easily do this. If you don't already have iTunes, you can download it from Apple at this link.
Once you've downloaded and installed iTunes, you can check that it's confirgured to "rip" in mp3 format by clicking Edit in the iTunes menu bar / Preferences / Imort Settings on the General tab / select Import Using mp3 encoder / ok to exit. Once configured, simply insert your music CD and follow the on-screen instructions presented by iTunes. Note that iTunes saves ripped music files to your personal folder/Music/iTunes.
Remember to ensure yu have complied with CopyRight Laws.
Can I create my own background image including specific text and upload it as a background to one of my web pages?
Yes, this is a very popular way to add even more customisation to your wedding website. Please make sure that your background image has the same dimensions as the background - 800 (w) x 648 (h). Some of our customers have been very creative in this regard, working around the standard features of their wedding website.
Having Difficulties?
Design changes to my wedding website aren't updating?
Don't worry, your changes have taken effect - your browser just isn't showing them to you. This is easily fixed. The internet is notorious for caching webpages. Caching happens when a copy of the webpage is saved for various reasons. Internet service providers prefer to show you a cached page because it saves them bandwidth. Web browsers also perform a degree of caching to ensure webpages load quicker. Additionally, home routers and servers cache pages as well.
We have done everything possible to eliminate the problem of caching but every now and then someone does exeprience a refresh issue when using our Design Studio. It is pretty straight forward to fix.
If you are using internet explorer, you must set your browser to refresh the page every time you visit the page. To do this, on your Internet Explorer menu select Tools / Internet Options / Settings (under Browsing History) / Every time I visit the webpage. Let us know if you still have difficulties but this always fixes the problem.
If you are using Firefox, you have to clear your browsing history. To do this, on your Safari menu select Tools / Clear Private Data / Clear Private Data Now.
If you are using Safari or any other internet browser and are experiencing problems with our Design Studio, we recommend you use either Internet Explorer (our 1st choice) or Firefox.
How do I add photos to my photo galleries and wedding party pages?
Click on the little arrow next to 'photo gallery' or 'wedding party' and you will see the appropriate pages appear.
Click on the page you want to add photos to (e.g. ourmemories1). Then with the 'photo' tab selected at the bottom, click on upload photo. The uploader will automatically place the photo in the right place.
The same is done for the wedding party photos - you can add a 'member' of your wedding party by uploading a photo. Alternatively, you can add a 'member' by adding a button.
One of my photos is taking up a large portion of the screen and I can't delete it - can you help?
Yes, we are here to help. This happens to 1 in every 100 customers and we believe is caused by a refresh of the Design Studio at an awkward moment e.g. when the Design Studio is still uploading the photo. Please drop us a mail and we will be happy to manually delete the photo for you.
